Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in film and TV is best known for films like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 and a leading role in several dramas on television. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. The film won an Oscar and received critical and commercial success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is well known for her work in numerous notable projects, both in the United States and internationally. The projects comprise British biographical film Control as well as The Dust of Time as along with the French history mini-series Napoleon. She was also part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
